Forbes House is the only domestic violence shelter located in Lake County, Ohio. Our private location provides an ideal place for survivors in Northeast Ohio to heal from the trauma of abuse and rebuild their lives.
No one deserves to be in an unhealthy relationship. Help and support are available through counseling, support groups, advocacy, safety planning and crisis intervention. All services are provide free of charge. We believe that limited resources should not be a barrier for anyone who needs help. Our resources will help you begin your journey to healing and wholeness.

We provide a safe haven for anyone seeking an abuse free life. The shelter is secure and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Peer support and coordination of community resources to help survivors rebuild their lives.
Support comes in many forms at Forbes House. The most common, emotional support is provided through peer and licensed counseling.
Our team of trained professional are here to make sure that you get the help you need.
Get your friends and family together for an afternoon to enjoy tea, tea sandwiches, fun and fundraising to help end the cycle of domestic violence. Event will include a wine/gift card pull, raffles, complimentary photos and spa services, and a competitive bon bon run for dessert by your very own VIP Table Concierge!
